Banner is a kind of marginal science of social psychology and art. Its image symbol is the language, symbol and emblem that reflect the history, politics and psychology of all levels. This article only discusses the making technology, existing problems and development trend of the flag since the founding of the people's Republic of China.

More than 98% of the materials used to make flags are all kinds of textiles, which are printed by screen printing process. However, there are few enterprises producing flags in the textile system. There are hundreds of "designated national flag production enterprises" in the country, which is one of the few in the textile system. It is difficult to improve the technological level of flag production. The difficulty lies in the particularity of flag production. To sum up, there are the following aspects: (1) the size difference of flags is more than 100 times. (2) The banner can be regarded as a textile system engineering from the aspects of fabric, bleaching, printing and dyeing, sewing and equipped with hanging devices. It is difficult for a production unit to complete it at one go, and it can only be patched up in the East. (3) The flag has both political meaning and many specific functions, so it is important for internal and external quality. (4) The flag factories that produce flags are mostly distributed in small enterprises in all walks of life, and the technical equipment is not perfect, which restricts the improvement of quality level and the expansion of production quantity, and has no time to take into account the research.

It can be seen that there is still a long way to go to make the banner industry move towards modern industrialization from the current situation, but the development is an inevitable trend. For this reason, here is a brief description, and I would like to discuss it with you.
